BARCLAYS ACQUIRES NEW CAPTAIN

MR Loganaden Sidambaram has recently been appointed Managing Director for Barclays Bank Seyc-helles.
Sidam (as he is known) joins Barclays Seyc-helles having spent the last 7 years in Barclays Botswana where he headed the bank’s Treasury functions across a five-country region spanning  Mauritius, Seychelles, Mozambique, Botswana and Angola.
He is a dedicated professional with a respected career directing regional and international operations in the banking industry. Sidam is a results-oriented leader, with a proven ability to lead teams in solving com-plex business issues and implementing strategies that increase product-ivity, profitability, and sustained corporate growth. During his tenure as Executive Director – Treasury in Botswana, he led the Barclays Treasury division to rank number 1 in profit before tax in the Botswana Banking Industry. He also received the “Best Treasury Initiative” Award in 2005 for producing Sterling £1 million in additional net profit on new products rollout.
Sidam’s extensive experience includes working for the State Bank of Mauritius and Delphis Bank (currently First City Bank) in the 1990’s as Treasurer and Director of Corres-pondent Banking. He was instrumental in restructuring and revitalising the Treasury Division to improve productivity and positioning in the market place.
Born in Mauritius, Sidam holds an MBA specialising in Finance from the University of Leicester in the UK.
Sidam takes over as Managing Director from Frank Hoareau who has led the Seychelles team for the last 4 years.
He is married with 3 children.
